What Size Mower Do I Need?
This will determine which type of mower is best suited for you. In basic terms a ‘’tennis court’’ size garden would be a medium garden, half or less would be a small garden. A small garden would be mowable with a hand push electric or the increasingly more popular new lithium battery type.
Medium-Sized Lawn
With medium gardens a trailing wire would be a nuisance, so a petrol walk behind or a ride on mower would best suit or once again a larger lithium battery powered lawnmower. In addition to the size of the lawnmower you would also have the option of wheeled rotary or cylinder mowers.
Stripes & Cut Grass Options
The final look of the garden could also be enhanced with the use of a rotary roller mower for a traditional striped lawn although a towed roller behind a ride on mower for larger gardens could be an option. There is also the decision as whether to collect, side discharge or mulch your grass cuttings.
