How often should I get my mower serviced?

A mower should be serviced once every year. However, if you are using your mower to cut more than one lawn, or daily because you’re a professional gardener, then it should be serviced more often.

What happens if something goes wrong with my machinery?

If your machinery develops a problem and requires a repair outside of its normal service, then please contact us by phone or email and we’ll arrange for one of our machinery experts to contact you to discuss the problem further.

How long does a repair/service take?

We always aim to carry out work to machinery as quickly as possible to ensure you’re not left without equipment for any length of time. We normally like to turn a serviced machine around within the week, subject to availability of any parts required.

Can you collect and deliver if my machinery develops a fault or requires servicing?

Yes, within a 40 mile radius. Anything outside of this radius will need to be transported by a courier, at a cost to be confirmed. We can also offer a new ‘’mowers serviced at home’’ package, where our trained engineers repair or service your equipment at your home for your convenience.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Cash, Cheques, PayPal and all major debit/credit cards. All funds to be cleared before delivery.

How long does delivery take and how much does it cost?

Other than items direct shipped from manufacturers, all products will be fully assembled and PDI’d prior to being dispatched. Please allow 5-7 working days for delivery to be made.  All delivery charges (within 40 miles) are included in the price of the product shown on the website.

How do I look after my garden machinery?

Your machinery should be regularly serviced, and we would be happy to discuss this with you and arrange a servicing schedule according to your needs. You should regularly check the oil levels in your garden machinery. A lack of oil is the major culprit in most machinery issues. You should remember to empty the petrol from your mower if it will be left unused for 30 days or longer to prevent the fuel going stale. Alternatively you could purchase Aspen fuel from us which will reduce fuel related breakdowns give a cleaner burn and will not deteriorate over the winter months.

How do I know what sized mower to buy?

A general guide is as follows:

A small sized lawn – 12-16” mower

Medium Sized lawn – 17-21” mower

Larger sized lawn – 21” mower

For larger areas, consider a ride-on mower or lawn tractor.

What’s the difference between a 2-stroke and a 4-stroke engine?

2-stroke engines need special oil to be mixed in equal parts with petrol. This mixture is added to the engine to provide lubrication. They are generally found on smaller, hand-held equipment such as blowers, trimmers and chainsaws. 4-stroke engines use separate compartments for fuel and oil. They are generally found on other types of outdoor power equipment such as mowers. Aspen fuel is available in both 4-stroke as well as ready mixed 2-stroke.
